S&K Grading is a family-owned grading and excavation company based in Anza, California. Four decades of dirt, one standard: walk the lot, quote it straight, do the work like it is our own ground.
Kirk McKenney has spent more than four decades moving Southern California dirt: custom house pads, vineyard blocks, fire breaks, ranch roads and the site work behind homes and working land from Anza out through Temecula. S&K Grading grew out of that work the way most good rural businesses do: one job done right, then the neighbor's job, then thirty-some years of referrals.
The company is still family-owned and still run from Anza, which matters more than it sounds. The people quoting your job live on the same terrain you are building on: decomposed granite, rock, seasonal washes and real slope. When we tell you what your ground will do in January, it is because our own ground does the same thing.
The way we work has not changed either. We walk the lot with you before we quote it. The number you get is built on your ground, not a formula, and if something does not need doing, we say so. Most of our work still comes the old way: someone we did right by, telling someone else.
