RIVER VALLEY GROUND,GRADED FOR ITS OWN COUNTY.

Bonsall sits along the San Luis Rey River valley in San Diego County, rural estates and grove parcels on ground shaped by the river as much as by the surrounding hills. Grading here means planning drainage around a real watercourse, and permitting through a different county than most of S&K Grading's home turf.

THE GROUND HERE

THE RIVER SHAPES THE GROUND. THE COUNTY SHAPES THE PROCESS.

Bonsall's setting along the San Luis Rey River valley gives it a different drainage picture than the dry hillside terrain nearby: rural estate and grove parcels here have to account for a real seasonal watercourse, not just runoff. Decomposed granite and clay are still the base soils, similar to Fallbrook and the rest of San Diego County's grove country around it.

Like Fallbrook and Rainbow, Bonsall is San Diego County, with its own grading ordinance and permit process separate from Riverside County's. We work both counties regularly, so a Bonsall project is planned against the right process from the start rather than the one we happen to use more often.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

QUESTIONS WE GET.

Does the San Luis Rey River affect grading in Bonsall?

It affects drainage planning, yes. Parcels along the river valley have to account for a real seasonal watercourse rather than simple runoff, so we grade drainage with that in mind, not as an afterthought.

Is Bonsall's permit process the same as Riverside County's?

No. Bonsall is San Diego County, which runs its own grading ordinance and permit process, separate from Riverside County. We work both counties and confirm the right process before starting a Bonsall job.

Do you grade rural estate parcels in Bonsall?

Yes. Site preparation, pad grading and landscape leveling for rural estate and grove parcels is work we do throughout Bonsall and the rest of San Diego County's grove country.
